Love is Blind: TV Show Review

I'm surprised at myself for saying this but Netflix knows how to put out a good reality show! First, I got hooked on their social media reality show called The Circle (highly recommend). And now I'm obsessed with their newest show called Love is Blind. The premise is pretty crazy, couples meet and talk in what are called "The Pods." They can't see each other until they get engaged. Once engaged the couples spend a week vacationing in Mexico together, then move in together, meet each other's parents and......get married. All in about a 6 week span of time. Crazy right?

Going into it I was obviously skeptical. And I can't lie, the first episode or two in the pods can be a little slow. But, once it gets going, whoa baby it gets going. Honestly, it does stand out among other reality love shows because these couples dive way deeper into the emotional and personal aspects of life before other shows ever get to touch that stuff. Racism, ageism, sexual fluidity, all covered in the first four episodes. People are really diving in.

There's only one episode left, the weddings (coming out Thursday 2/27)! And we will see what couples actually make it to the alter. Love is Blind is a great answer to prime time network's reality shows about love. It's something different and honestly what the TV dating game probably needs.....what am i saying? Regardless, I recommend this show. Great drama, gives you the feels, and extremely interesting.

10/10
