Taylor Swift Announces the City of Lover Concert

It’s a great day to be a Swiftie! While we thought we were blessed when the Reputation Tour was added to Netflix, we’re feeling great knowing Lover is about to get the same treatment. In September 2019 Taylor Swift performed her 2019 album Lover, in Paris, France at her City of Lover concert. Luckily for fans the concert was filmed and will be airing on ABC Network for our pleasure.

The Lover album era is filled with butterflies, bright colors, and the sweet promise of love. The award-winning album features songs like, “Me!,” “The Man,” and “Lover.” Swift was set to tour the album this year, but due to the pandemic the tour had to be cancelled. The four U.S. dates are in the works to be postponed for a potential 2021 tour.

This concert film promises the guitar-strumming, piano-playing, colorful aesthetic that Taylor always brings to the stage. And for the first time we will be able to see private videos and pictures of Taylor’s time in Paris. This is an exciting follow up to her February 18th release of her single, “The Man” live from Paris. Probably an Easter egg that we all should’ve picked up on.

While Taylor’s last few Instagram posts have shown her in quarantine, one captioned, “Not a lot going on at the moment.” There’s definitely a lot going on for Taylor Swift fans when this concert hits TV and streaming services. You can watch Taylor’s City of Lover Concert on May 17th at 10p.m. on ABC and stream it the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
