Demi Lovato dropped her newest single at midnight and you already know I was awake to hear it! The song is titled "I Love Me" and it comes just a month after she made her grand debut at the Grammy's and singing the National Anthem at the Superbowl. I have been following (and loving) Demi since the beginning. This woman never ceases to put out beautiful and powerful music and this time is no different.
"I Love Me" might just be the self love anthem I've been waiting for. It touches on insecurities that are personal to her but are also deeply personal to everyone that listens. One of my favorite lines is "'Cause I'm a black belt when I'm beating up on myself, but I'm an expert on giving love to somebody else." Oh wait...how about my other favorite line, "Why am I always looking for a ride or die? 'Cause mine's the only heart I'm gonna have for life."
The song hits on everything. And the music video touches on some key aspects of her life: her 2018 overdose, her sister and mother, and even the Jonas Brothers. The music video is a great look inside Demi's life. If you haven't given the song or music video a stream, I suggest you stop what you're doing and get to it. You will not be disappointed!
